anyways. i haven't posted about the fan fiction i'm reading. i'll go onto that when I have MORE free time.

i've just decided to post about that! well some people might be interested... so here it is

Summary.

            The production presented three stories of the famous Lola Basyang--'And Prinsipe ng mga Ibon', Ang Kapatid ng tatlong Maria, and 'Ang Mahiwagang Byolin'.

            'Ang Prinsipe ng mga Ibon' was about Princess Singsing who fell in love with the prince of the bird. His father, the king was definitely against their relationship and had make sure that the two will never see each other again. that saddened the princess but the king was firm on his decision. However, one day, their town was attacked by monsters. the town was almost conquered, till the birds came and rescued the townspeople. The bird-prince, together with his subordinates defeated the monsters. the townspeople were in debt to them. the princess requested that she may marry the bird-prince. The king hesitated but he has no choice since the princess was so determined. The king allowed the princess and so the princess turned into a bird and marry the bird-prince.

            'And Kapatid ng tatlong Maria' was about a family who learned a living through curing people via herbal medicines. One day, he was punished for cutting down a tree which is protected by an enchanted spirit and so the man's three daughters were taken. After some time, he had a son named Pedro. He then requested Pedro to look for his sisters; his mother gave him three handkerchief that he must show to his sisters for the to remember their family. Pedro went on to his journey. his sisters were found living within three different kingdoms and were married to kings of sea creatures, birds and fierce animals. her sisters recognized him through the handkerchief and was given a gifts. Pedro went home happily bringing his three sisters, with their husbands back home.

            'Ang Mahiwagang Byolin' was about Rodrigo, a poor man who wanted to help his parents and decided to set off to work. He worked under his master Ahab for two years only to get two pesos for his salary. One day, Rodrigo helped an old woman by feeding her, and the only woman rewarded her with a violin. Rodrigo realized that the violin can make people dance and do funny stuff. He used it to get back on his tormentor. Ahab pleaded to Rodrigo to stop and he paid him. After some time, Rodrigo was seized by the guards because Ahab filed a death penalty against him. Rodrigo requested that for the last time, he must lay his violin. his wish was granted and therefore everyone danced. The truth was revealed and Rodrigo was set free.'

Highlights.

            Through the production, it was shown that the ballet dance is really a 'dance of the elite'. The production itself featured  Lisa Macuja-Elizalde herself. I liked most of the parts since it is not that boring. the production was a comedy---well sort of. but still you can see how great and smooth the dance was. the narrative was like the typical Lola Basyang-telling-the-kids-how-the-story-goes. It was like reminiscing the past.

            I am familiar with the stories of Lola Basyang since I've heard those when I was little and I've watched some in the televisions, but this time, I've got to watch a ballet dance narrated by Lola Basyang. Well, that interests me. it was my first time watching a ballet production. Honestly, I wasn't moved that much by the twists and turns of the performance since I'm not really a fan of ballet. Though I find the whole production entertaining. It was funny and I was laughing most of the tie during the production. The last part was about the violinist; I remembered when I was younger, I dreamt of studying on how to play a violin and in the future, I'd be able to play in front of the public. I just thought, that the violin was really magical that even a poor guy, who've never been able to touch a violin in his whole life had learned to play a piece without any practice.

People, you just got to drop by Aliw theater, CCP complex corner, and watch! it's worth-it.

anyways. what am i up to right now? Oh yeah! I've just watched tween academy[so side-tracked]. it's good/ fine. but it's not that great[FOR ME]. Well, :)) the only reason I wanted to watch it was becausei like Lexi fernandez and Derrick Monasterio. But their exposure was so. so. so. so. so. FEW! :/ disappointment. anyways. That's the things about teen movies. it only focuses on few specific people. well. I WANT LEXI BACK IN TWEEN HEARTS. If she's back, I'm gonna watch tween hearts again.   oh yeah. i'm gonna post about lexi some other time. like i said i'm quite busy right nw. =))

after sometime... now i'm back! yay!

no anime this time though. i suddenly paused from watching those stuff... something got my interest... reading fanfictions! :)) yes! i'm having fun reading those! sidetracked. this is not about those! maybe i'll post about that some other time.

we were given this project in Theology... must be presented sometime in september! gee.; i wanted to take the role of God! and we had the auditions tomorrow. wish me luck!

In the vast expanse of a timeless place
Where Silence ruled the outer space
Ominously towering it stood
The symbol of a spirit war
Between the one named Lucifer, and the Morningstar, the ultimate of good.

Enveloped by a trillion planets
Clean as lightning, and hard as granite

The audience for the fight of the ages was assembled and in place.
The angels came in splendor from a star.

The saints that had gone before were there, Jeremiah, Enoch, Job.
They were singing the song of Zion on David's harp.
The demons arived, offensive and vile, cursing and blaspheming God

Followed by their trophies dead and gone.
Hitler, Napoleon, Pharoh, Capone, tormented, vexed, and grieved
And waiting for their judgment from the throne.

Then a chill swept through the mammoth crowd
And the demons squealed with glee
As a sorid, vulgar, repulsive essence was felt.
Arrogantly prancing, hands held high, draped in a sparkling shroud,
Trolled by demons, Satan ascended from Hell.

Then Satan cringed, the sinners groaned, the demons reeled in pain
As as swell of power like silent thunder rolled.
With a surge of light beyond intense illuminating the universe,
In resplendent glory appeared the Son of God.

Then a persona, yes, extraordinaire appeared in center ring.
God the Father will oversee the duel.

Opening the Book of Life, each grand stand hushed in awe
As majestically he said, "Now, here's the rules:
He'll be wounded for their transgressions, bruised for iniquities."
When he said, "By His stripes they're healed," the devil shook.
He said, "Sickness is my specialty - I hate that healing junk."
God said, "You shut your face - I wrote the book."

Then the Father looked at His only son and said,
"You know the rules. Your blood will cleanse their sin and calm their fears."
Then he pointed His finger at Satan and said,
"And I know you know the rules,
You've been twisting them to deceive my people for years."
Satan cried, "I'll kill you Christ! You will never win this fight."
The demons wheezed, "That's right, there ain't no way."
Satan jeered, "You're dead meat Jesus, I'm gonna bust you up tonight."

Jesus said, "Go ahead, make my day!"

The bell, the crowd, the fight was on, and the Devil leaped in fury.
With all his evil tricks he came undone.
He threw his jabs of hate and lust, a stab of pride and envy,
But the hands that knew no sin blocked every one.
Forty days and nights they fought and Satan couldn't touch Him.
Now the final blow saved for the final round.
Prophetically Christ's hands came down and Satan struck in vengeance.
The blow of death fell Jesus to the ground.

The devils roared in victory, the saints shocked and perplexed
As wounds appeared upon His hands and feet.

The Satan kicked Him in His side and blood and water flowed

And they waited for the ten count of defeat.
God the Father turned His head. His tears announcing Christ was dead.
The ten count would proclaim the battle's end.
The Satan trembled through his sweat in unexpected horror yet,
As God started the count by saying, "...10..."

Stop, you're counting wrong,

His eyes are moving...

His fingers are twitching...

OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB

I just finished watching Ouran High School Host Club last night--thanks to the suspension of classes last tuesday >:D plus the super nice internet connection!

And now... for the review.. :) i'd say it's a perfect 10! weeee!

so... why love this anime? 

THE OPENING SONG.

(I have the subbed ones but it takes a thousand of years to upload. i dunno. maybe it's my internet connection's fault. :( )

THE CHARACTERS.

KAWAIIIII! see. this anime revolves around the host club in Ouran High. COOL-LOOKING guys were the hosts and girls who have time can come visit and thy'd be entertained by this hosts.

HARUHI FUJIOKA

Natural type

SHE[yes. she] is a commoner(that's how they call someone who came from a poor family). The anime opens up with her looking for a place, a quiet place to study. She entered a room, thinking it was  a music room. As she opens it,  she was surprised to see guys and telling her that it is the host club. Everyone, especially the King, thought she was a GUY.  as she tries to escape and leave the room, she accidentally breaks a  8,000,000 yen. In order to pay for the debt, she became a host. At first she's doing the trivial chores(the household chores--serving teas) then once the other hosts removed her glasses, BOOM! HE'S CUTE =)) she became a host and later did the host club realized that haruhi is a girl.  she incurred by breaking a valuable vase. The other members of Host Club seem to hold some feelings for her, yet some don't realize it.

TAMAKI SUOU

Prince Type

Described as the 'idiotic host king' of the club. Self-proclaimed 'Daddy' of the group since he's the one who founded it. He's a half French-half Japanese. He grew up in france and so when he transferred in Japan(particularly in Ouran), he showed an extreme interest in Japanese lifestyle. He  believes that the Host Club exists to make their customers happy(especially when it comes to girls).  most of time, in hi s fantasy, He imagines himself and Haruhi romantically together

KYOYA OOTORI

Cool Type

Tamaki calls him the 'Mommy' of the family. Haruhi game him the nickname of 'Shadow King' for he plays a role of a puppet-master behind the scenes. he takes care of the club's financial issues--selling photos of the members, producing a journal and selling member's personal item(Haruhi's pencil).  He does almost everything for his own benefit. He has two older brothers. Before he met Tamaki, he always keep in mind that being teh youngest, he can never be the head of the family. thus he must work hard to meet his father's expectatios but never surpass his brothers. Also, Kyoya's bad temper when waking up in the morning has earned him the name “Low blood pressure Evil Lord”.

HIKARU AND KAORU HITACHIIN

Little Devil Type

The Hitachiin brothers were funny. They are well known in the customers with their act of "forbidden brotherly love" with suggestive themes of boy love shown to admiring female fans. They are used to this game called ' which one is hikaru-kun'. No one has won the game till they met haruhi. When they were in middle school, they claimed that no one will ever tell them apart, yet they feel sad when people guess it wrong. Because Haruhi was one of the first to tell the twins apart, Hikaru and Kaoru develop strong feelings for her .

MITSUKUNI HANINOZUKA

Shota type

He 's known as Honey-senpai. He looks like an elementary school child but never underestimate him. He used to be the karate captain of the school. In order to compliment him, his subordinates call him,'spartan captain'. H always carry a toy bunny, usa-chan. He loves to eat cake with his clients.  If he ives his full ability in martial arts, he could be classed as a weapon of mass destruction. Honey is also the only host club member to call Mori by his first name. He has a fondness for anything cute, like bunnies and eating a lot of cake. With his obsession, he once had a cavity that prevents him to eat anything sweet. TAKASHI MORINOZUKA Silent Type

Mori-senpai. He happens to be the champion of kendo at school. Mori dedicates his life to Honey by protecting him and only gets emotional when Honey is injured or harmed. He usually only speaks when necessary, and responds to questions mostly with monosyllabic answers. Mori's family served Honey's family until a marriage two generations ago made them cousins. Even though the servant-master bond was technically broken, Mori still serves faithfully as Honey's guardian and best friend.
